KKB Mau Disikat Pemerintah, Benny Wenda Berani-beraninya Kirim Surat Ini ke Jokowi

Presiden Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) memerintahkan Panglima TNI dan Kapolri untuk mengejar dan menangkap seluru anggota kelompok kriminal bersenjata (KKB) Papua. Presiden interim United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Benny Wenda bereaksi marah.

Perintah Jokowi untuk Panglima TNI Marsekal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto dan Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo keluar setelah Kepala BIN Daerah (Kabinda) Brigjen TNI I Gusti Putu Danny Karya Nugraha gugur ditembak anggota KKB.

"Saya telah memerintahkan kepada Panglima TNI dan Kapolri untuk terus mengejar dan menangkap seluruh anggota KKB," kata Jokowi.

"Saya tegaskan tidak ada tempat untuk kelompok-kelompok kriminal bersenjata di tanah Papua maupun di seluruh pelosok Tanah Air," lanjut presiden.

Interim President responds to President Widodo’s crackdown order in West Papua

As the Interim President of the West Papuan nation, I am issuing this response to Indonesian President Widodo’s crack down order in West Papua.

Indonesia is trying once again to label the West Papua Army and West Papuan people’s struggle ‘criminals’ and ‘terrorists’. Indonesia has illegally invaded and occupied our country for nearly 60 years, subjecting my people to a genocide. An illegal invasion and occupation is a criminal act. A genocide is a terrorist act. Resistance to these is legitimate and necessary.

My questions to the President of Indonesia are: Who invaded our country in the first place? Who has killed over 500,000 men, women and children? Who has displaced over 50,000 civilians since December 2018, leading to the deaths of hundreds more people? It is clear that the Indonesian state is the real terrorist group operating in my land.
